About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the delivery of all soft services (cleaning, security, landscaping, waste management, etc.) through third-party vendors.
  • Lead the selection, onboarding, and negotiation of contracts with soft services providers.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors to ensure the highest levels of service and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, service audits, QBRs and KPI evaluations to ensure vendors meet agreed standards and SLAs.
  • Develop and manage the budget for soft services operations, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
  • Manage vendor invoicing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Operations Manager to understand MEP system performance and how it impacts building occupants, including lab spaces.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and building occupants regarding all facilities-related matters.
  • Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs and expectations are consistently met.
  • Respond promptly to client feedback, concerns, and service requests, ensuring resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring smooth execution and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with in-house teams to identify and address facility-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage emergency response activities related to soft services, including coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Supervise and lead a team of facilities staff, ensuring that daily operations are carried out effectively and in line with company standards.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to direct reports, helping them develop their skills and improve performance.
  • Ensure that staff is well-equipped and motivated to meet the demands of the facilities management operations.
  • Ensure all soft services operations are in compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for vendor contracts, service reports, and maintenance activities.
  • Provide regular reporting on facility operations, vendor performance, and any issues related to MEP systems that may impact building occupants.

    What You'll Need:
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
    • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
    • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
    • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
    • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
    • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

      CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $130k annually and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $140k annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
