Job Description:
A company is looking for a Nuclear Engineer to support the
design, development, and deployment of radiation detection
systems.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and
document issues related to radiation sensors
Develop prototype radiation sensors based on customer input and the
latest technologies
Assist in project management tasks, including preparing SOWs, cost
estimates, and project status reports
Required Qualifications
Doctorate degree in nuclear engineering from an accredited
university
2+ years of related nuclear engineering experience beyond graduate
school
Experience with Monte Carlo simulation codes and gamma-ray
spectroscopy
In-depth understanding of radiation detection, including alpha and
beta particles, gamma-rays, and neutrons
Experience with handling ionizing radiation sources and using
oscilloscopes and multi-meters
